Open Door Salon is a life-sciences interview show operated by Unsiloing Healthcare LLC (“Open Door Salon,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through opendoorsalon.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. Questions or requests: hello@opendoorsalon.com.
Effective date: June 30, 2026.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you subscribe to our briefing/newsletter, we collect your email address. When you submit a sponsorship, guest, or production inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, and the other details you provide (such as your organization, role, and your message). Information submitted on our site is stored in our website database, hosted by Hostinger.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers automatically collect standard technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring source, and time on site, gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
- We do not sell products or take payments on this site, and we do not intentionally collect special-category (sensitive) personal data.
2. How we use your information
- To send you the briefing/newsletter and the content or replies you requested;
- To respond to sponsorship, guest, and production inquiries;
- To operate, secure, measure, and improve the site;
- To understand which content resonates and to reach relevant audiences with our own updates;
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases (for visitors in the EU/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases: consent (newsletter sign-up; non-essential cookies and marketing); legitimate interests (operating, securing, and measuring the site, and responding to inquiries you initiate); and legal obligation where required. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Sections 5 and 9).
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, including:
- Hostinger — website hosting and storage of on-site sign-ups and inquiries;
- Google — Google Analytics 4 (site analytics) and Google Workspace (the email that delivers your confirmation and our replies);
- PostHog — product and site analytics, including session replay (a recording of your on-page interactions, such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation, used to understand how the site is used and improve it);
- LinkedIn — the LinkedIn Insight Tag (conversion measurement and advertising audiences);
- Substack — our separate newsletter platform, if you choose to subscribe to us there (also governed by Substack’s own policy).
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and our users.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: (a) essential site functionality, and (b) analytics and advertising measurement via Google Analytics 4, PostHog, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. Analytics and advertising cookies are non-essential, and we do not set them until you consent.
Our PostHog analytics may include session replay, which records on-page interactions (such as mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling) to help us diagnose usability issues. Session replay runs only after you consent to analytics, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Our consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies with equal ease. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the “Manage cookie preferences” link on our site — withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. A current list of the specific cookies we use, with their purposes and durations, is available through that link. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser. You may additionally control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on, and manage LinkedIn ad settings in your LinkedIn account.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers are primarily US-based, so personal data of visitors outside the US (including the EU and UK) may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses operated by those providers).
7. How long we keep it
We keep newsletter and inquiry data for as long as your subscription or relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, recordkeeping, and legal purposes, after which we delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Section 9).
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (including HTTPS and access controls) to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
- Unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email, or by emailing hello@opendoorsalon.com.
- Manage or withdraw cookie consent at any time via the “Manage cookie preferences” link on our site.
- EU/UK residents may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability, may withdraw consent, and may complain to a supervisory authority.
- As a matter of policy, we also extend the following to California residents: the right to request disclosure of, access to, and deletion of personal information, and to opt out of the “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (we honor Global Privacy Control signals for this purpose). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these choices.
- To exercise any right, email hello@opendoorsalon.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Children
The site is intended for professionals and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. Links to other sites
Our site and episodes link to third-party sites and podcast platforms (such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Substack, and LinkedIn) that have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for their practices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
